ON REPEAT| Jamelia Donaldson

Jamelia Donaldson is a hair care pioneer empowering Black women through Europe’s leading Afro hair subscription box TreasureTress.

Alongside this, she co-founded The Teen Experience, a workshop series designed to foster personal growth among young Black women. Since its launch in 2015, TreasureTress has cultivated a robust online presence and a thriving community dedicated to celebrating natural hair and Black sisterhood.

In response to the beauty industry's difficulties in effectively engaging Black female consumers in the UK, Jamelia enhanced TreasureTress by adding consultancy services. This strategic extension helps US brands in understanding and connecting with specific market through tailored marketing strategies.

Her groundbreaking work has earned features in prominent publications such as Forbes, Buzzfeed, Good Housekeeping, and Pride Magazine, highlighting her influence and leadership within the community.

Here she shares the incredible product she has on repeat!

The product I always end up cutting the tube open is the PATTERN Intensive Conditioner ( £25).

I love this product because it is luxuriously thick, has a delightful scent, and offers the perfect slick for quick hair styling. It's my secret weapon for looking polished while deep conditioning on the go.

I have been using this conditioner since 2022. We are two years deep!

When I use the intensive conditioner, I feel like it's a treat just for me, perfect for a leisurely Sunday dedicated to self-care.

I first discovered this product through TreasureTress. I was chosen to test it before its official launch in the UK. After trying it, I immediately knew it would be a sensation and a community favourite as soon as it was included in our subscription box.

<A winner knows a winner!>

My favourite way to use is to apply on freshly washed hair, put a shower cap on paired with my heated dryer. While the conditioner works its magic, I seize the moment to indulge in a good book or listen to a podcast. This routine is my reminder that investing time in myself is worth every minute, enhancing not just my hair but also my well-being.
