Meet Samantha Mims, a certified New York City based skin therapist dedicated to enhancing skin health through tailored treatments. After training at the Christine Valmy International School Of Esthetics, Samantha launched her treatment practice.
Her expertise spans beauty and wellness sectors, from leading as an esthetician at Equinox Spa to skincare advice at Google. She’s now head of education for Epi.logic, a clinical, black-owned skincare brand.
We had a chat with her at her Brooklyn Face & Eye clinic and we’re excited to dig into her skincare life for her on repeat product. What Samantha doesn’t know about skin is worth knowing!
The product I always resort to cutting the tube open is the epi.logic The Total Package Moisturizer ($96). It’s phenomenal in so many ways. I constantly have two just because! I’ve been using it since 2019, and it has been my steadfast companion, delivering remarkable results for my skin.
I love it because it really helps to fortify my skin whenever I'm feeling super dull or I’m lacking luminosity and I just feel like my skin needs a pick-me-up, this comes into play. It has a unique balm-cream texture full of niacinamide, peptides and backuchiol for deeper moisturising. It also helps to strengthen, plump and brighten my skin.

I first discovered this product through Dr Jeanniton, the brand founder. Just meeting her and being introduced to her new collection when it first launched, I instantly fell in love. The fact she is a Board Certified Dermatologist means this product and whole line is the real deal.
I use it most when my skin is dry and just parched and really just need some extra love. Essentially that's every day. My most favorite way to use this product is definitely on my face. But I also use it on my neck, my hands, cuticles, elbows. I can also use it like a highlighter to give my face structure and glow.
